Here is the pitch i emailed to the writers festival this week. I am very excited to see if they pick it up or even just to get your feedback. I am still in planning and very early stages of writing but it's great to lose yourself in a world you create.

A novel targeted at a young adult audience shows the year is
2532 where a storm 500 years previously had killed all but 112,497 of the
world’s population. A high school history student is given an assignment to
find someone that looked like her in the past using facial recognition
software. What she finds leads to government cover ups and a world underneath
the one she knows.
It is my intention to use my knowledge from studying history
and sociology to create a believable and consistent society and cause of events
while ensuring the story is compelling and engaging.
